We all had time to reflect after talking about Jesus calling Peter to leave his boat and nets and become a fisher of men.

The Sea of Galilee
Reminded at the end of the day that Jesus won't let us drown, just like he promised Peter when he walked on water. The water will not overtake us.
It's hard to believe that our first day is done. Lots to learn and lots to take in. The thing that strikes me today, and I'm sure in the days to follow, is how deliberate Jesus is in his ministry. At the Sea of Galilee we started this morning talking about how Jesus recreates the scene in bringing Peter back to a coal fire - similar to where he had recently denied Jesus. Jesus asks him if he loves him three times, the exact number Peter denies him. This is not vindictive, but a way for Jesus to love and forgive Peter, making him restored. Jesus shows love and grace repeatedly to Peter, and to us.
Throughout Jesus' ministry he deliberately acts to significantly impact those around him.
